Sean M. Jackson is a extremely accomplished 3D artist having worked on feature films like Hell Boy, X-Men, Serenity, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Superman Returns to TV series like Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek Enterprise, and most recently Caprica.
But he was not always a 3D guru, Sean started his visual effects career as a traditional artist doing freelance and 2D work. After doing a intern gig at VSI Sean found his way to Foundation Imaging. It was Foundation where Sean honed his 3D abilities and met some of the industries leading players.
Since then Sean has worked on numerous feature films and television series. For the past several years Sean has been working for Gary Hutzel at Universal on Battlestar and Caprica.
The International LightWave 3D User Group is proud to interview Sean M. Jackson and get to chat with him for a little over an hour about his extensive work in the industry.
Sean M. Jackson has been nominated for an Emmy twice and won once. He has also been nominated for two VES Awards and won one of those as well.
